Evidence

Proof, without the parade.

A sampling of partner companies, public situations, and company-building work where Oxbow or our people helped create momentum.

SkyWater Technology designs, manufactures, and builds to scale semiconductor wafer-based technologies for industrial, military, quantum computing, and automotive applications. SkyWater, headquartered in Bloomington, MN is the most advanced pure-play, US-owned and US-based Trusted Foundry.

Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (acquired by Infineon Technologies) sought to divest its captive semiconductor manufacturing facility in Bloomington, Minnesota, as part of an initiative to streamline its manufacturing footprint.

Oxbow formed SkyWater Technology and executed a creative carve-out transaction that included a long-term supply agreement with Cypress, providing a stable revenue base while enabling SkyWater to pursue third-party customers. Oxbow then transformed the business by expanding beyond pure-play semiconductor manufacturing into co-development and engineering services and expanding its served end markets. In 2021, the business expanded further into Advanced Packaging by establishing SkyWater Technology Florida, an initiative that reshored Advanced Packaging to the USA. Oxbow also supported the acquisition of Fab 25 in Austin, Texas, which doubled SkyWater's manufacturing capacity while broadening its technology capabilities, customer base, and served end-markets.

Oxbow successfully took SkyWater public in 2021. The company was later acquired by IonQ for $1.8 billion in 2026, delivering a successful exit following the business transformation.

MN Fence Supply is a high-volume wholesale distributor of fence and gate products, serving contractors across MN and the surrounding Upper Midwest. Town & Country Fence is the leading installer of aluminum, wood, and steel fences and security gates across the Twin Cities metro area.

In 2017, Town & Country Fence's founder, Mike Bistodeau, sought a partner to help transform the company from a local fence installation business into a leading regional platform.

Oxbow partnered with Mr. Bistodeau to build a larger, more sophisticated organization capable of executing increasingly complex projects while delivering industry-leading turnaround times. Together, they invested in the people, processes, and infrastructure needed to support continued growth and geographic expansion.

Town & Country Fence became one of the leading fence installation companies in the region and was ultimately identified by Dakota Fence as its entry point into the Twin Cities market. Building on that success, Oxbow and Mr. Bistodeau recognized an opportunity to expand into fence distribution and launched MN Fence Supply, a business they continue to own and operate today.
