Eric Nelson, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer

Eric Nelson is Chief Operating Officer for Oxbow Industries, LLC. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for managing all aspects of Oxbow Industries including strategic planning, business transactions, and supporting the company’s investment portfolio. Eric has nearly 30 years of experience advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies regarding business transactions with emphasis on domestic and international taxation. Prior to joining Oxbow Industries, he was the Tax Office Managing Partner for the Minneapolis office of BDO, a global middle-market public accounting firm. Eric began his professional career as a Tax Associate with Deloitte.

Eric’s qualifications include being a Certified Public Accountant and holding a B.A. in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. Eric also has the distinction of having served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Air Force and is the recipient of the U.S Air Force Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Ribbon (Gulf War).
